二十五圆通

(二十五圓通, 二十五圆通)

The twenty-five kinds of perfect understanding of the truth; they refer to the [lang id =1028]六塵, [lang id =1028]六根, [lang id =1028]六識, and [lang id =1028]七大; disciples of the Buddha are said each to have acquired a special knowledge of one of these twenty-five and to have been recognized as its authority, e. g. Guanyin of the ear, Dignāga of sound, etc.
